I enjoy helping people become self-aware, accepting, heal and improve their quality of life, health and relationships.
My approach is strength based drawing from a wide variety of models, EMDR, IFS, DBT, CBT, Art Therapy, Play Therapy and Filial Therapy; all Client centered/led, focused on the individual person, their capacity and the day. I enjoy helping people grow, and become self and spiritually aware. I work with adolescents and adults dealing with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, attachments issues, relationships, addictions, and mortality. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families; always striving to increase awareness, empathy, hope, love and connection. I have degrees in counseling, art therapy, education and fine arts. My specialties include EMDR and IFS with adolescents, adults, couples and families. I also work with Graduate students and new therapists in both individual and small group settings.
I use a variety of evidence based models (science) to treat trauma and related disorders such as performance, relationship, depression, anxiety, substance use, mood disorders. I am trained in and use Psycho-education, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Model (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) Couples, Family and Filial Therapy. I specialize in connection, client's articulation of issues, goals and success. My work ranges from specific issues to working with those engaged in a holistic healing of self, integrating mind body and spirit. My expertise is lived experience, strength based; enhancing what is working and understanding challenges, increasing self-nurturing, resiliency, passion and joy.
